Carl L. Marcellino (born December 23, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York) is a member of the New York State Senate. He represents the 5th Senate District which comprises parts of Nassau and Suffolk Counties in Long Island. Marcellino is a Republican who was first elected to the Senate in a special election in March 1995, following the resignation of Ralph J. Marino. Marcellino attended public schools in Queens, New York. He received a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Science degree from New York University. Marcellino worked as a science teacher and administrator in the New York City school system for 20 years. Prior to serving in the State Senate he was Oyster Bay Town Clerk.
